I know this has nothing to do with PTerry but as I know we have lots of
Dr Who fans I wanted to share this. I'm sure I'm not the only one
(Daib?) who picked up on the Doctor's remark about where it all
started.
I was going to explain but I think I'll leave it open for others to
decypher! <e g>

Sorry, I'm watching the new series of Doctor Who with a five-
year-old, so subtle references tend to pass by while I'm
explaining why the Doctor's trying to stop the men take away
the woman without a face...

OK... I didn't pick up on the remark... but before I can attempt to
decipher it you could at least let us know what the remark was.

This may appear twice, if so I apologise. But it didn't appear the
first time.
OK, I was trying to be cryptic!

And you were succeeding 8-)!

Ah, as I suspected, I missed that line, although I did notice
the street name [1]. And yes, the perfect setting for a story
combining the increased popularity of television with the
Coronation[2]...
[1]Well, okay, I vaguely noticed it as something I had heard
somewhere before, and subsequently had it explained on
rec.arts.drwho.moderated.
[2]It was the working title of Coronation Street.
